VP. Sen. Kashim Shettima Leads Distribution of Aid and Commodities Worth 1 Billion Naira in Funtua Zone

KATSINA, March 9, 2024 – Nigeria's Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, spearheaded the distribution of financial aid and commodities totaling approximately 1 billion naira in the Funtua zone on Saturday.

Hon. Ibrahim Kabir Masari, the Presidential Political Affairs Assistant, orchestrated the initiative to support the 11 local governments within the Funtua zone.

The distributed goods include 15 cars, 75 machines, 110 additional machines, 102 solar kits with corresponding solar panels, and 42 electric pasta machines. Other items comprise 42 hand-held machines, 150 sewing machines, 100 welding machines, and 10 thousand bags of fertilizer. Additionally, financial support of 50,000 Naira will be extended to 5000 beneficiaries.

Senator Kashim Shettima highlighted the collaborative efforts of Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Radda and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in driving the nation's development forward.

Acknowledging the substantial contributions to the community, Senator Shettima commended Hon. Ibrahim Kabir Masari for pioneering such initiatives.

Representing Governor Malam Dikko Radda, Deputy governor Hon. Faruk Lawal Jobe, hailed Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari's initiative as a testament to community development.

Former Governor of Katsina state Alh. Aminu Bello Masari lauded Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari's philanthropic endeavors, urging others to follow suit in supporting small business growth and economic development.

Alh. Ibrahim Kabir Masari expressed gratitude to the Vice President and other dignitaries present. Perspectives were shared by various individuals, including the Traditional Ruler Galadiman Katsina, Justice Abdullahi Mahuta, and the representative of the APC National Chairman.

The meeting, held at Pilot Secondary School in Kafur, witnessed the attendance of Governors from Borno, Yobe, and Gombe, along with the Katsina State Assembly Speaker, Members of the House of Representatives, Katsina State Executive Council, Mothers of the Nation, Local Government Heads, former governors, their assistants, and APC Party leaders in Katsina State. Leaders from other states also attended the gathering.
